Friendly Service. Outstanding Quality.
The Merchant Conglomerate handles all crafts, trading and commerce within the entire Black Sword Fleet's populace. With almost 300 combined craftsmen from various servers united under Conglomerate policy, it is one of the largest trading and commerce bodies in Star Wars Galaxies. The Conglomerate, like the Entetainers Union, is one of the few Fleet subgroups that are not a single guild or a collection of guilds. Instead, the Conglomerate operates as an umbrella organization with multiple guilds, trading groups and individuals working together to pool resources, set trading policies and galactic prices.
Leadership and Politics
The management of the Merchant Conglomerate is made up of several powerful corporations. Representatives of the most corporations sit on a leadership council called the Corporate Authority, all of whom are ranking business executives or the most profitable businessmen in the Conglomerate. The Authority is led by an Executive Director, and other posts included Operations Director, Auditor-General and the Imperial Advisor that represented the interests of the Galactic Empire and the Black Sword Fleet. The monetary authority of the Merchant Conglomerate and the Black Sword Fleet is the Commerce Guild. All tax revenues, gambling events, and other funds from the Fleet all cross through the commerce guild. The Banking Guild handles shares and assets for the Galactic Stock Market Exchange.
