Superior Skill at a Moments Notice
The Imperial Starfighter Corps is the space-based fighter warfare branch of the Joint Military Establishment within the Black Sword Fleet. As one of the first space-based guilds, the Fighter Corps holds an impressive battlefield record and holds fast to it's mission to fly, fight and dominate in space. From the Royal Guard Interceptor to the TIE Advanced superiority fighter, Imperial technology gives the Starfighter Corps the power to see and strike across the galaxy at a moment's notice.
Roles in the Military
Superiority
With it, joint forces can dominate enemy operations in space. Working in unison with the Imperial Naval Corps, skilled Fighter Corps pilots can dominate the landscape with superior handling and agility, deadly accuracy and determination to win that is matched by no other organization in Star Wars Galaxies.
Escort
Skilled pilots provide escort duties for the Imperial Naval Forces, guarding gunships and weapon vessels while seeking out and destroying the enemy at a moment's notice. While a standard pilot may think 'baby sitting' is boring, Corps pilots have learned how important escort duty can be to the greater purpose.
Recon
Imperial Fighter Corps pilots provide recon for the greater forces of the Imperial Navy. Masters of agility and stealth, these pilots can spy on enemy positions, keep tabs on enemy moments and sometimes distract an enemy before superior forces arrive to complete the job.

The organizational structure and hierarchy of the Imperial Starfighter Corps are critical to its massive success in space combat and the communication and coordination of its officers and pilots alike.

Divisions
Each guild of the Fighter Corps represents a division, where wings and squadrons are located under a senior commander. Generally there is only one division per server and they report directly to Command for collective decission making. Ulimately Command holds control of any division regardless of the opinions of the Division Commander.
Wings
Wings are made up of one or more groups, consisting of several squadrons, and usually commanded by a Colonels, but high visibility wings can have Generals in command. Wings encompass both operations and support activities and are usually one of three major types: Superiority Wing, Naval Escort Wing, and Specialized Mission Wing.
Groups
Made up of several squadrons and commanded by a Captain, a group is for units who don't have the manpower to become a full wing. Generally used for training squadrons for the Academy. There are two general types of groups: Dependent (training unit); and Independent (a group with wing-like functions and responsibilities).
Squadrons
A Squadron is considered to be the basic unit in the Fighter Corps. Squadrons are usually made up of several flights (typically four), and eight to twelve fighercraft. A squadron is usually commanded by a Commander-level officer.
Starfighter Equipment
Whether in squadron patrols through Deep Space or escort duties with the Imperial Naval Forces, the Imperial Starfighter Corps has the most technologically advanced and well equipped space craft in the galaxy. Starfighters as masters of precision and timing and undergo some of the hardest training at the Imperial Academy.
Imperial Guard Twin Ion Engine Interceptor
On loan from the Imperial Guard, the highly advanced TIE Guard Interceptor is both mobile and deadly on the battlefield. This is the primary starfighter used by the Black Sword Fleet.

Twin Ion Engine Space Superiority Starfighter
The Sienar Fleet Systems space craft was an iconic fighter for the Empire. The Black Sword Fleet only use the TIE Fighter Modified version for role playing purposes.

Twin Ion Engine Oppressor Strike Starfighter
The TIE Oppressor Strike Starfighter is a heavy fighter requiring extremely skilled pilots to operate. With two weapons pods and three ordnance bays they have incredible firepower for a craft their size.

Twin Ion Engine Aggressor Multi-role Starfighter
The TIE Aggressor is a heavy fighter-bomber multi-role craft that requires both a highly trained pilot and an extremely skilled gunner to operate. The Fleet uses these craft whenever possible.

Eta-2 Actis Interceptor
The Eta-2 Actis Interceptor (commonly referred to as the JSF) is a highly manuveurable starfighter deployed by the Fleet to protect Task Groups.

Twin Ion Engine Advanced x1 Prototype (Modified)
An experimental craft combining TIE fighter technology with more conventional starfighter components, the TIE Advanced is used sparingly as a bomber-level craft.
