A ruthless and criminal empire in its own right, the Bounty Hunter's Guild (BHG) is an institution that controls the bounty-hunting trade within the Fleet and gives a galactic voice to hunters. The guild acts as a coalition of professionals rather than a proper guild structure, and members of the Bounty Hunter's Guild may be in dozens of other guilds, societies and organizations and yet ultimately remain under BHG control.

Bounty hunters who joined the guild have the benefit of notifications of bounty postings before they are broadcast in-game terminals, which gave guild members a head start. It also gave bonuses for hunts and provides special equipment and events for its members.

Culture and Roles of the Guild

Like in traditional Star Wars lore, bounty hunters are mistrusted and feared around the galaxy for their first-strike attacks. Generally, bounty hunters remained neutral during times of galactic conflict. They were known to favor one side or another, although never officially joining any one group and it's known that the Bounty Hunter's Guild tends to favor the Galactic Empire from time to time. Most often, however, bounty hunters are hired by individuals to seek revenge, particularly criminals and crime lords.

The Great Hunt

Succession in the Bounty Hunter's Guild is done through the 'Great Hunt', where those wishing to achieve honor and positions compete against eachother for the right to bare them. A certain amount of hunts are required by the Great Hunt Committee every three months.

Mercenery Work

Besides bounty hunting, it is not uncommon for the Bounty Hunter's Guild to deploy forces as mercenaries for large sums of credits. Each mercenary unit would employ highly paid soldiers who conducted themselves honorably and skillfully in battle. This may involve PvP engagements such as guild wars or to hunt individuals during Galactic Civil War PvP.

Recruitment & Training

Players wishing to become full members of the Bounty Hunter's Guild must gain a set of Manadlorian armor from the Death Watch Bunker on Endor using their own methods including collecting and crafting. Once membership is gained, strict training is required and the amount of successful kills and Great Hunt honors determines standing.

Organizational Structure

The Bounty Hunter guild is composed of many smaller houses that operate as nearly independent clans. While under the central control of the Bounty Hunter's Guild, each house has its own organization, regulation and specialties. Each house specializes in a form of bounty hunting unique to the particular house.

Primary Houses

The primary organizational unit of the Bounty Hunter's Guild are houses that are led by a Warmaster. Each Warmaster earns their rank through experience on the battlefield, an undisclosed amount of hunting kills, and victory through war challenges against the previous Warmaster. House gain prestiege and honor by their participation in the Great Hunt and other Bounty Hunter's Guild activities.

Death Watch

The primary elite house is declared as a Mandalorian sect, an elitest group entitled the Death Watch. Members may compete during the Great Hunt for the prestiege and honor of joining the Death Watch. Once a member you must continue you prove your worth to the elite unit.
